Shujinkou, one of my favorite games of 2025 and a super underappreciated gem, is coming to the Epic Games Store this September 9th.
If you don’t know what the game is about, at its core, it’s a dungeon crawler with dozens of hours of content jam-packed into it. The main hook is that it doubles as a learning tool for anyone interested in picking up Japanese, whether at a beginner or advanced level. You’ll battle enemies using orbs that play host to kana or kanji, while using mana requires you to learn verbs, vocabulary, and grammar mechanics on the fly.

The EGS launch brings a nice $20 discount across all versions of the game. On top of the base game, there are quite a few expansions available.
