WWE’s hiring of internet sensation Logan Paul has been nothing short of viral, with every single appearance gaining more traction for the Pokemon aficionado, and his latest vlog is not the exception.
“The REAL Footage Of My Fight With Bradley Martyn” was posted on January 14, 2026, and in classic LP fashion, the YouTuber compiled some of his most chaotic moments of the last couple of weeks into a highlight reel, but something caught the wrestling fans’ attention. Right at the beginning, the video shows Logan at a press conference/media day for WWE 2K26, the highly anticipated annual release during WrestleMania Season. The thing is, the backdrop has WWE’s old logo.
Scratchy (that’s what we’ll call it from now on) last appeared in 2014, right before the WWE launched its infamous WWE Network with a slicker platform design that would become the company’s overall emblem we know today, in an effort to adopt a more modern look amid the flat design trend.

This change also marked the beginning of a series of unremarkable era names, such as the Reality Era, the Renaissance Era, and the Netflix Era, all of which opened the internet floodgates to talent like former US Champion Logan Paul to feel like a natural fit for the business.
Still, the logo change wasn’t well-received. Despite a considerable popularity decline after the end of the Attitude Era due to WWE’s more family-friendly programming, Scratchy was the last bit of recognizable hope fans held on to right until its forced retirement over a decade ago, or so we thought!
Love them or hate them, the Paul Family is well-known for shaking things up and stirring the pot enough to create endless debates, discussions, and speculations, and this was no different. The appearance of the scratched logo was by no means a careless mistake, but a deliberate decision pre-approved by WWE and 2K Games to gain traction ahead of the already anticipated January reveal.
Making its triumphant return to the WWE 2K franchise since the very first installment back in 2013, Scratchy means more than just a cosmetic change; it’s the embodiment of one of the most important spans in wrestling history.

Many speculate that its inclusion directly points WWE 2K26 into the Ruthless Aggression era, which ran for roughly six years from 2002 to 2008, but we tend to forget its earlier iteration had the world in the company’s hands with the Federation’s Attitude Era from 1997 to 2002.
This would mean the logo features a nod to three eras of wrestling, including the crème de la crème of the Attitude, Ruthless, and PG rosters and matches. Scratchy was also featured on the infamous WWE x Travis Scott merch after John Cena’s Heel Turn last year, taking the company’s aesthetic into the grungier vibe that set the tone for almost two decades.
Even though John Cena was the face of the company for most of Scratchy’s stay, do not expect this throwback logo to reference him solely, as he just recently got his own WWE 2K release in last year’s Farewell Tour Edition.

I also don’t think this “accidental” soft launch is part of the original cover art, as it would step on the current logo’s toes. But I can envision an Ultimate Edition that lets Scratchy shine, with the most popular superstars from the past three eras front and center.
Rock, Austin, Cena, Orton, Undertaker, Triple H, CM Punk, Shawn Michaels – the list goes on and on despite severing ties to some of the most iconic faces of the time. Wrestling fans only want one thing, and it’s disgusting: a Marvel vs. Capcom-like cover art of Scratchy’s era, just imagine.
If all fails and 2K considers the blast of the past showcase overdone, I would adore a past vs. present game mode for WWE 2K26. Remembering who “leaked” the graphic, it would be insane to watch original stories set up between the stars of today vs. the legends of the past.
Logan Paul vs. Prime CM Punk. LA Knight vs. Attitude Era’s Stone Cold. Roman Reigns vs. Hollywood Rock. Besides the obvious choice, this would definitely be a winning feature for most, if not all, nostalgia-ridden WWE marks like yours truly. Regardless of our most insane assessments, maybe Scratchy was just a print error, leading us to fantasy book a non-existent version of the game. Haha, classic 2K.
