You might see the two Legendary Pokemon flying overhead in Pokopia, but did you know you can actually befriend them?

There are over 300 Pokemon available in Pokopia, and quite a handful of Legendary ones. While getting any Legendary Pokemon is a big ask, Lugia and Ho-oh are arguably one of the hardest ones, seeing as there are quite a few prerequisites to meet before they are registered to your Pokedex.

Here's everything you need to know about finding Lugia and Ho-oh in Pokemon Pokopia.

How to Find Lugia in Pokemon Pokopia

Early in the game, you'll notice Lugia flying above your island. If you follow its cry, you'll be able to catch the Silver Feathers it drops. Many use these feathers to trade with Gimmighoul in the museum at Rocky Ridges.

But if you want to actually meet Lugia, you might want to hold onto them.

To call for Lugia, you'll need to meet the Legendary Bird Trio a.k.a Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Once you meet all three, you'll be given the recipe for the Tidal Bell. To craft the Tidal Bell, you'll need five rare Pokemetal and five Silver Feathers.

Lugia is most likely to appear if the weather is rainy. If the weather conditions are right, set out the Tidal Bell and ring it. Soon, Lugia will fly down and greet you. After, they will be registered to your Pokedex. Take note that even though you have befriended them, they can't live on your island.

How to Find Ho-Oh in Pokemon Pokopia

Similar to Lugia, you'll often spot Ho-oh flying above your island. If you hear its cry, it will drop a Rainbow Feather, which can also be traded with Gimmighoul in Rocky Ridges. If you have these feathers in your inventory, hold on to them!

After you meet the Legendary Johto Dog Trio, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, you will be given the Clear Bell. To craft this, you will need five rare Pokemetal and five Rainbow Feathers.

Ho-oh is most likely to come out if the weather is clear and sunny. If the weather conditions are right, set out the Clear Bell and ring it. This will call for Ho-oh, who will fly down and greet you. Talking to the Pokemon will add it to your Pokedex, but Ho-oh won't be able to live on your island.
