Finding all the ancient artifacts is one of the best ways of uncovering the lore in Pokemon Pokopia, but it's not as easy as you might think.

Pokopia is set in a post-apocalyptic Kanto region where humans have disappeared. You play as a Ditto disguised as a human whose goal is to discover where the humans have gone. With the help of the Pokemon you meet along the way, you discover more about the fate of humanity while also rebuilding the barren island.

One thing you're able to do to learn about humans is to find artifacts. Here are all the artifacts you can get and how to find them.

How to Find Ancient Artifacts in Pokemon Pokopia

Ancient Artifacts can be found underground, hidden by Buried Treasure Blocks. You'll know you found a Treasure Block if you see a glowing center on the ground.

If you can't see one, try using the Dowsing Machine with a Pokemon that has the Search Specialty. With the machine, they'll be able to lead you to a treasure that is hidden where you normally wouldn't see it.

To get the treasure hidden below, use the Rock Smash Ability on the ground. If it looks like the block is about to blow up, make sure to use the Water Gun to avoid missing out on your treasure.

Take note that just because you see a glow on the ground does not guarantee you'll get an Ancient Artifact. You can get other items as well, such as dolls that used to go to Dream Islands.

If you get an Ancient Artifact you haven't identified yet, it will show up in your inventory as a Lost Relic. Bring the Relic to Professor Tangrowth, who will use its Appraise ability to reveal what the item is.

After it's been identified, you can either keep it in your collection, trade with another Pokemon, or sell it. It's similar to offering items to the museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
