Nintendo Confirms Its Not Planning Any Major Acquisitions

Nintendo has confirmed won't make any major studio acquisitions, after Sony bought Bungie and Microsoft purchased Activision-Blizzard. Many fans speculated that Nintendo would do the same, but according to Nintendo's latest investor briefing, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

As reported by Bloomberg, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa issued this statement:

Despite not making any major studio acquisitions, we'd speculate Nintendo may not feel the need to, either. Owning numerous in-house studios, Nintendo often release new games on a monthly basis, with Pokemon Legends: Arceus dropping on Switch last month.
