Rumors are circulating that a new God of War game is in the works, and its central character isn't who you think it is.
It's been four years since the release of God of War Ragnarok. Since then, Santa Monica Studios has kept quiet about any new project under wraps. However, leaks have recently come out alluding to a new God of War game in development - and it might not be what you expect.
Here's everything we know about the rumored game.
Rumored God of War Spin-Off To Feature Multiple Mythologies
On April 14, MP1st released a report about an alleged God of War spin-off game.

In the report, it was noted that a new God of War game was in the works, but this installment won't feature Kratos as the central character. Instead, it will star Faye, Kratos' deceased wife. This rumor is backed up by a 2023 FandomWire report and a leak from reputable insider Nate the Hate, which IGN confirmed.
The game will reportedly also feature various mythologies, unlike previous God of War games, which solely focused on Greek and Norse mythology. The report confirmed that East Asian mythologies, such as Chinese and Japanese mythologies, will be included in the story.
