Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad is a dangerous new version of Monster Hunter Wilds gigantic beast. It has a higher health pool, and it deals significant damage to hunters who don’t upgrade their gear. Oftentimes, their moves can one-shot hunters, causing multiple faints.

To beat Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad, just remember that this is basically the same monster we’ve hunted before. The only difference is that it is faster and has new tricks up its sleeve.

Staying close is still the ideal strategy. This lets you avoid its high-damage-dealing ice breath attacks. Keep close to AT Jin Dahaad’s legs and start attacking it. Dodge its new AoE ice attack that can cause Frostblight, rendering movement. Hunters should also bring plenty of Dust of Lifes and Lifepowders, as AT Jin Dahaad’s Frostblight can prevent other hunters from moving and healing.

Stay as far as possible from its tail, as it loves to swipe hunters, dealing significant damage. As for AT Jin Dahaad’s nova attack, it is much faster, so your team must prepare and grab the nearest ice rock.

Unlocking Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad’s armor requires you to slay it to obtain the Jin Dahaad Certificate γ. You need one Jin Dahaad Certificate γ for each of the five armor parts, so hunting it multiple times is needed.

The best thing about AT Jin Dahaad’s armor is that it still has the skill Agitator for its Chest and Waist parts. Equipping both guarantees a Level 5 Agitator, which is one of the best armor skills in Monster Hunter Wilds, as it increases your attack damage when a monster is enraged.

AT Jin Dahaad’s Arms and Legs armor also includes Weakness Exploit, which increases your critical damage when hitting monsters’ weak spots. Equipping both gives you a total of Level 3 Wex. You can always add an extra Weakness Exploit decoration to its Helmet, as it has two Level 3 Deco slots.

Equipping three or more AT Jin Dahaad armor pieces unlocks the group skill Guts (Tenacity), which boosts your attack power but weakens your defense. Guts will also give you a temporary Moxie, which is a second chance to survive from a lethal hit that could’ve killed you.

Equipping 2 or 4 of AT Jin Dahaad’s armor can also unlock the set bonus ‘Binding Counter I and II.’ It’s pretty much the same as the Alpha and Beta versions of the armor, as it increases attack after recovering from status effects like webbed, Frostblight, pinned, and Power Clashes.
