Evo 2026 might not have a ton of announcements for fans yet, but anime fighting game fans were surprised when developer French-Bread unveiled Melty Blood Twi-Lumina, set to release in early 2027.

The franchise has a long history in the fighting game genre, with the very first Melty Blood released back in 2002. The most recent one, Type Lumina, launched in 2021, so fans were eagerly anticipating what was next for the franchise.

Little is known about the actual game, as only a teaser was shown. It's highly likely that the game will ship with rollback netcode, considering ht's the standard netcode for online play and has been for the past few years.

What we do know is that Melty Blood Twi-Lumina will be releasing on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (via Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2. If you're an Xbox Series user the Xbox One will likely be retrocompatible.
