- Quick Answer: Marvel Tokon's Year 1 content roadmap has been revealed, featuring new playable characters like Jane Foster Thor, Venom, and Jubilee.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls finally revealed its full Year 1 lineup at Evo France, and it’s a nice mix of fan-favorites returning, new faces to the genre, and iconic heroes with a twist.
Following the release of Phoenix Cyclops this November 2, Tokon will receive Thor, Venom, and Jubilee. If you missed it, don’t expect the classic Thor Odinson to be in the roster, as the version Arc System Works opted for is Jane Foster.
Check out the trailer below.
A really nice addition to the game beyond the characters is that legendary composer Keiichi Okabe, known for his work in Nier: Automata, will do the main theme for Jane Foster’s Thor.
Venom has been a staple of Marvel fighting games for quite some time: he’s a part of three out of the four games in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, only missing out on 3. As for Jubilee, she was an unplayable assist in the first MvC, but Tokon will be her proper debut as a playable fighter.
Marvel Tokon Year 1 Roadmap Schedule

As it stands, the full Marvel Tokon Year 1 content roadmap is as follows:
- Phoenix Cyclops: November 22
- Thor (Jane Foster): Winter 2027
- Venom and Klyntar stage: Spring 2027
- Jubilee: Summer 2027
Despite having no content during its first three months since the game’s launch on August 6, once Cyclops comes around, we can expect a new character roughly every three months. At least that’s the expectation. Considering winter ends in March, Jane Foster should arrive at some point between January and then.
Then, once spring rolls around, Venom should release before June. All leading up to Jubilee and a potential Season 2 announcement at Evo 2027.
