Marvel Rivals players expecting to see a new Vanguard or Strategist might have to wait a little longer, as recent leaks suggest two more Duelists are on the way in Season 4: Deadpool and Daredevil.
According to a leak from credible Marvel Rivals dataminer @X0X_Leaks, new voice line interactions were discovered in the game files, pointing to the arrival of the two heroes. One exchange includes Daredevil speaking with Punisher about their complicated friendship over the years, while another set of audio clips features Deadpool’s trademark banter with Rivals’ cast of characters.
Daredevil and Deadpool Rumored to Join Marvel Rivals Soon

While both characters are fan favorites from the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they are not exactly what the game needs right now. The roster is already heavy with Duelists, creating an imbalance compared to Strategists and Vanguards.
Placing them in other roles would not make sense either. Deadpool as a Strategist would be completely out of character, as he lacks abilities centered on supporting teammates. Daredevil also does not fit the mold of a Vanguard due to his fragility and agile movesets. Both heroes are clearly built for the Duelist role, and their kits will almost certainly emphasize pure offense.
There is no official release date yet, but looking at past leaks such as Phoenix and Blade, whose audio files surfaced months before their arrival, it is likely that Daredevil and Deadpool will make their debut in Season 4.
Where are the Vanguards and Strategists?

In a recent matchmaking report video, Marvel Rivals Creative Director Guangguang reassured players that more fan-favorite heroes are coming, most especially Vanguards and Strategists as their roles. However, these will be added later, as leaked characters like Deadpool and Daredevil were planned and developed months in advance.
Even so, the decision by NetEase to delay new Vanguards and Strategists remains a baffling one. The community has been vocal about wanting more variety in these roles, as higher-ranked matches often feature the same predictable meta picks.
NetEase explained that Duelists are easier to design, while Vanguards and Strategists require more careful tuning to avoid upsetting balance. Heroes like Emma Frost, a Vanguard, and Ultron, a Strategist, prove this point well. Both are powerful yet remain balanced enough to avoid breaking the meta.
For now, it seems fans eager for a new Vanguard or Strategist will have to wait until Season 5. Perhaps characters like Rogue and Gambit could join the roster, or one of the other previously leaked heroes might finally appear.
