The rumors were true: Marvel Rivals is coming to PS4. NetEase’s highly successful hero shooter, inspired by iconic Marvel heroes and villains, will now be able to reach a potential install base of over 100 million players.
Leaks suggested the developers at NetEase were able to work their magic to get Marvel Rivals to work on PlayStation 4. In hindsight, if games like Overwatch 2 can run relatively smoothly on last-gen consoles, fans had questioned why Rivals was conspicuously absent from them.
When Is Marvel Rivals Coming To PS4?
The game is launching on September 12 for PS4 users.
The news broke with the Season 4: The Heart of the Dragon trailer that dropped on September 3. Towards the end of the video, which confirms the arrival of Daredevil as the game’s next hero, the PS4 logo was added to the list of available platforms Marvel Rivals will be playable on, come September 12.
Is Marvel Rivals Coming To Switch 2?
Sadly, neither the Xbox One nor the Nintendo Switch 2 was added to the list. This is all mere speculation, but NetEase has undoubtedly eyed a potential Switch port.
