Molten Gold is the first Mastery camo for Co-op Campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and it sits at the front of a huge grind that stretches across 30 weapons and eventually leads into Moonstone, Chroma Flux, and Genesis.
Unlocking it always follows the same pattern, no matter what gun is in hand.
How Do Military Camos Work for Each Weapon?
The grind starts with the Co-op Military camos, where every weapon class works through tiers like Foliage, Desert, and City Digital until finishing Topaz Snake, which needs 250 Critical Kills.

Shotguns follow a similar structure but trade headshots for 250 point-blank eliminations, melee weapons need 250 total kills, and launchers progress by getting a set number of kills or destroying Guild equipment and VTOLs until they also hit the 250-event mark.
How Do You Finally Unlock Molten Gold?
Only when the Military track and all three Special camos are finished does the game reveal the final Molten Gold objective for that weapon, which is always to take down 20 Special enemies with that specific gun in Co-op Campaign.

Special enemies are the tougher, more notable targets that stand out from regular fodder and show up more often in later missions or higher-tier Endgame zones, so the most efficient way to progress is to bring the chosen weapon into those missions, focus on those high-value targets, and make sure the last hit comes from the gun being leveled.
Once those 20 Special enemies have been defeated with that weapon, its Molten Gold variant unlocks in the Co-op camo menu.
