To mount a lion in Crimson Desert, you need to head to The Laughing Marionette in Demeniss. This is located just outside the City of Demeniss. You'll find the lion by some circus tents, being petted by NPCs.

The NPCs are harmless; you can approach the lion easily. Once you're close enough, you'll be prompted to ride the lion. Press Square or X (depending on your controls), and you'll be able to ride the lion.

There is no fuss with mounting the lion - no one will fight you for it. The lion also doesn't attack anyone, so if you want to fight while riding the lion, you'll need to use your weapons from its back. Take note, the lion may be fast and can jump high, but it has low stamina.
