Not only can you have pets (who doesn't want an adorable kitty in a hat following them along), but you can also have different animals to mount. The most typical animal is a horse, but did you know you can mount dragons, too?

How to Get a Dragon Mount in Crimson Desert

The dragon in Crimson Desert is known as Blackstar, and you first meet it in Chapter 9's Shattered Stars quest chain.

During the quest, you will traverse Urdavah. As part of the cutscene, you will pull out a spear that has wounded the Blackstar. After the scene, you will return to Urdavah and get the chance to mount the stunning beast.

Take note that moving forward, you'll need to be at least Stamina Level 5.

When you arrive at Urdavah, you will be given a 'Wait' prompt. Selecting this will cause you to be transported to the battlements with the dragon approaching. As the dragon approaches you, mount it and start gliding, then use Axiom Force to grapple onto its back.

Now that you've latched on, select jump to do an Aerial Maneuver. Once on the dragon's back, you'll receive a 'Resist' button prompt. Press and hold this to tighten your grip as the dragon flies erratically. Soon after, you'll be asked to perform a Focused Force.

Activate Focus and then charge Force Palm until you see a green glow on the dragon's back. Aim for the glow and strike at it. This will purify the dragon and will cause it to fly off.

Now, you'll need to complete Chapter 11. For this quest, head to Delesyia and complete the Foreboding Shadow quest chain. Here, you'll need to defeat the Golden Star Boss.

Take note: you won't need to kill the Golden Star. Once you've done enough damage, the Blackstar will help you finish it off!

Once the battle is done, head back to the Nest of Valor. The Blackstar will be there waiting for you. From this point on, you will be able to use the Blackstar as your Dragon Mount!
