After the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, CD Projekt Red surprised fans by updating the game. It’s a major patch that adds a ton of new content, including quests inspired by the show, console mod support, new FOV sliders, and new ways of playing the game, like the ability to dual-wield weapons.

How To Dual Wield in Cyberpunk 2077
In order to dual-wield weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, you need to obtain the Double Trouble perk, which is available in the Cool skill tree.
You can unlock it relatively early, so chances are if you’re deep into the game already, you’ll be able to use it. Do note that only the following weapons can be used with this perk:
- Revolvers.
- Power Pistols.
As per usual, the perk has different levels and four extra auxiliary perks to enhance the ability. I’ll break down the main perk and what each auxiliary one does.
Double Trouble Perk in Cyberpunk 2077
There are two levels to the Double Trouble perk, each requiring one perk point:
Level 1:
Unlocks the ability to dual-wield, but each weapon deals -37.5% damage.
When aiming:
- -15% recoil
- -15% bullet spread
- Simultaneous shooting with both weapons
Level 2:
Press L1/RB/L to perform a Heywood Hurricane, automatically firing both dual-wield weapons for 1 second but with +50% bullet spread. Ammo spent on successful shots is automatically refilled. Replaces Quick Melee Attack.
Auxiliary Perks
These perks enhance specific aspects of the main Double Trouble perk.
- Keep ‘Em Comin’: +40 Stamina after neutralizing an enemy when dual-wielding. +20 additional Stamina per stack of Triple Tequila.
- Triple Tequila: +10% Mitigation Chance after neutralizing an enemy when dual-wielding. Duration: 15 seconds. Stacks 3 times. Stacks are consumed when performing a Heywood Hurricane, giving it +15% damage per stack.
- Splash of Love: +50% fire rate for Heywood Hurricane. At max stacks of Triple Tequila: +1 second duration for Heywood Hurricane.
- Two Right Hands: When hip-firing with dual-wield: -25% stamina cost. When aiming with dual-wield: -20% recoil and -20% bullet spread.
How To Equip Dual Wield Weapons in Cyberpunk 2077
To dual-wield weapons in Cyberpunk, once you unlock the Double Trouble perk, simply do the following:
- Open the character menu and go to your inventory.
- Select one of your main weapon slots and equip either a revolver or power pistol.
- Once you select your first weapon, a new slot marked ‘secondary weapon’ will pop up. Click on it, and the menu will display only selectable weapons to dual-wield, so pick your favorite.
