Hades 2 expands its roguelike world by introducing new mechanics, including Twin Lures.
A unique indulgence item within the game, Twin Lures make gameplay and character interactions more engaging by helping you build relationships with companions at the Crossroads Fishing Pier.
To learn more about this new addition, here’s how to obtain and use Twin Lures in Hades 2
What are Twin Lures In Hades?

Twin Lures are special fishing-related items introduced in Hades 2. They help you build relationships with various characters and even deepen your bonds.
Considered Indulgence gifts, Twin Lures allow you to engage in communal fishing activities at the restored Crossroads Fishing Pier, which connects the Underworld and the Surface.
By giving Twin Lures to other characters, you can forge unique bonds that enrich the story, unlocking new dialogue and character content that further supports relationship development.
How to Get Twin Lures

There are several steps to acquiring Twin Lures. First, you must restore the Fishing Pier in the Crossroads area.
To do this, you need to obtain and perform the incantation called Rite of River-Fording, which unlocks the fishing locale.
Crafting this incantation requires two Cattails and four Driftwood, which can be collected from various regions during your runs.
Once the Fishing Pier is restored, there are two ways to gather Twin Lures:
- Purchasing from the Wretched Broker – The Wretched Broker is an NPC in the Crossroads who offers trades for various collectible resources from Melinoë. You can buy one Twin Lure per night for 100 Bones, the game’s common currency. Since this option is limited, you must visit regularly to stock up on Twin Lures.
- Digging with the Silver Spade – You can also obtain Twin Lures as rewards from digging spots scattered across the maps. Using the Silver Spade tool allows you to dig for Twin Lures and other valuable items.
That said, obtaining enough Twin Lures requires consistent effort through regular participation in Fishing Pier activities and interactions with vendors.
How to Use Twin Lures

Twin Lures can only be used as gifts when you visit the Fishing Pier. You can give them to companion characters such as Dora, Hecate, Moros, Nemesis, and Odysseus.
However, these characters will only accept your gift if they are receptive. The Codex will indicate when they are ready to receive a Twin Lure.
If you give a Twin Lure at the wrong time, the item will be returned. Don’t worry—this has no negative consequences, and you simply need to wait for the right moment to try again.
When accepted, Twin Lures create a special bond, unlocking extra dialogue, storylines, and character boosts.
While not a major part of the game, Twin Lures make the Hades 2 experience more entertaining by adding meaningful interactions and enriching story content.
