One thing players have been wondering about, especially with recent industry trends, is how much GTA 6 will cost. The game is set to be one of the biggest launches of the decade, so logically, many were waiting for the price announcement.

The day has finally come, and Rockstar has revealed all the details about the game's editions, pre-order bonuses, and most importantly, the price tag.

How Much Is GTA 6?

As confirmed through a press release by Take-Two Interactive, here are the prices for each edition of Grand Theft Auto 6:

  • Standard edition: $80
  • Ultimate edition: $100

As you can see, GTA 6 starts at $80 for the standard edition. The only special edition, the Ultimate edition, will cost $100, but it comes with a lot of other in-game goodies that you can check out here.

The respective prices in other currencies, such as pounds or euros, haven't been confirmed. We will have to wait until pre-orders go live to know what the equivalent will be in other markets.

This price tag is not uncalled for, as Nintendo started the trend of $80 games with the launch of Mario Kart World in June 2025. Microsoft tried to follow suit with The Outer Worlds 2, but they eventually decided to bring the price down to the usual $70.

This also comes after Bank of America analyst Omar Dessouky suggested back in May of this year that Take-Two should sell its game at $80 to help other developers and "raise the price point for the entire industry."

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on Thursday, November 19, for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. A PC version hasn't been announced, which means players on that ecosystem will have to wait much longer to enjoy the title.
