- Quick Answer: A new rumor claims Rockstar plans to launch GTA 6 on PC before this fiscal year ends.
GTA 6 is possibly one of the most anticipated games in a long time, and with all this expectation comes a variety of rumors. The latest one is about the game's PC release, which will be on a different date from the console versions.
The general belief is that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on PC at least a year after the November 19 launch. This is based on Rockstar's previous new title, Red Dead Redemption 2, as the PC version for the sequel arrived in November 2019, a year after its October 2018 launch.
However, user DetectiveSeeds on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that three former Rockstar employees said that the studio is aiming to release the PC version in February 2027. They reportedly reached out to 90 people, and three of them came back at them with this information.
Apparently, Rockstar and Take-Two want to get the PC version out before this fiscal year ends, which is in March 2027.
Although a PC release not long after launch would make sense and certainly improve numbers, we have to take this rumor with a grain of salt, as Rockstar or Take-Two haven't confirmed anything at the moment.

The PC version would probably take more work to get done, as it would have to include support for unlimited framerate, widescreen resolutions, and more. Pre-orders for the console versions haven't even started, so we will probably have to wait a while until Rockstar starts talking about PC.
The rumor arrived just two days after another insider claimed that the online mode would be released a month after launch, similar to how it happened with Grand Theft Auto V and its online mode.
