Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed yet again. The massive Rockstar Games open world will now release on November 19, 2026.
The decision was announced on November 9, 2025. Players will have to wait over a year (again) to get their hands on perhaps the most anticipated game of all time, since, well, Grand Theft Auto V.
Rockstar Games explained in a quick blog post that this extra time will allow the development team to fully polish GTA VI, ensuring the game is up to the usual level of quality players have come to expect from mainline Grand Theft Auto Games.
"We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve."
All GTA 6 Delays
With the November 2025 delay, this is the second time GTA VI has been delayed.
The first one happened in July 2025, moving the game from late 2025 to an early-mid 2026 release date. Funnily enough, a leak did hint at the possibility of GTA VI getting delayed again. Although the original leak stated that the tentative date would be September 2026.
