  • Quick Answer: Gamescom Dev 2026 will feature Tencent's Amir Satvat as keynote speaker and introduce new specialized tracks for game developers.

Gamescom Dev has officially pulled back the curtain on its 2026 lineup, announcing Tencent Games’ Business Development Director, Amir Satvat, as the opening keynote speaker.

Taking place from August 23–25 at the Confex Center in Cologne, the conference serves as the opening for Gamescom, bringing together thousands of developers, executives, and creatives from around the world.

Satvat, who is also widely recognized as the founder of the Always Supporting (the) Games Community (ASGC) career network, will deliver a highly anticipated address titled “The Games Industry Reset: What Happened and What Comes Next?”

Drawing on extensive community data gathered through ASGC, Satvat’s keynote will provide a data-driven autopsy of the industry’s turbulent transformation since 2022. The session promises an honest look at labor market disruptions, shifting player demands, and hiring realities, while pinpointing the emerging opportunities waiting on the other side of one of the industry's toughest chapters.
