Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a massive game, one that’s already getting more DLC via the Expansion Pass. Broken down into three waves, the tactical RPG will get new weapons inspired by Three Houses Heroes’ Relics, new outfits, more playable units, and story content dedicated to four major characters within the game.
I’ve personally been loving my time with the game, having sunk over 80 hours and finishing Leda’s route before jumping to Cai’s. In that time, I haven’t touched any Part 2 story beats. I’m taking my sweet time with it, and it doesn’t seem I’ll run out of stuff to do in the foreseeable future.
If you’re keen to know what’s coming with the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass, I’ve got you covered.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass – Release Date & Cost
Before we begin, you should know that the Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass has been released today, starting with Wave 1 of content.

It will cost a total of $34.99. If you want to purchase the full game plus the DLC, it’ll set you back $104.99.
As mentioned, the expansion pass is broken down into three waves:
- Wave 1: New weapons (Heroes’ Relics for Leda, Cai, Dietrich, and Theodora)
- Wave 2: New units (Smyrnos, Aurora, and Jurah) and outfits
- Wave 3: New story paths (Bertrand, Anatolia, Talimun, and Orchel)
Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass Wave 1 – Heroes’ Relics
In case you haven’t been paying attention, Fortune’s Weave’s story exists in the same universe as Three Houses.

Now, you’ll be able to wield one of four Heroes’ Relics from said game in this latest adventure. Known as Prototype weapons, each of the main protagonists will get access to one:
- Dietrich gets Byleth’s Sword of the Creator.
- Cai gets Dimitri’s Areadbhar spear.
- Theodora gets Claude’s Failnaught bow.
- Leda gets Edelgard’s Aymr axe.
These weapons are now available as part of Wave 1 of the expansion pass.
I just have to get it out of the way: Aymr is not technically a Heroes' Relic. I know, it doesn’t matter; I just wanted to point that out. Moving on.
Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass Wave 2 – New Outfits & Units
Coming this holiday 2026 season, all characters will get access to alternate outfits. They’re a nice little visual change of pace, even if some, like Dietrich’s, are outright ridiculous.

Now, the big thing this wave of DLC will add is three playable units: three gods of Dagda:
- Smyrnos
- Aurora
- Jurah
We don’t have specifics about how you’ll be able to recruit them or where exactly they’ll pop up in the story, but the gameplay made them look incredibly broken, with AoE abilities, massive damage, and other helpful tools.

Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass Wave 3 – New Story DLC
Scheduled to launch at some point in 2027, the main course of the expansion pass is Wave 3, which will add more story content featuring four major characters who are currently not playable in the game:
- Bertrand
- Anatolia
- Talimun
- Orchel
It was clear from the start that these four were meant to have a more prevalent role in Fortune’s Weave, and it seems Intelligent Systems couldn’t wait much longer to reveal the fact that fans were indeed right on this one.

Overall, it’s looking like really good value for money, even if I will personally wait until the entire expansion pass is fully out to purchase it. I’m in no rush to get to the finish line, and I’d rather savor my time with it than feel burnt out.
