Season 5 is the penultimate update of Black Ops 6's lifecycle. New update means you can expect a fresh batch of guns, skins, modes, and a battle pass heading your way.
The headline this time is the new Reckoning map for Zombies, bringing along the last chapter of the mode. Of course, there is something in there for the multiplayer and Warzone modes, too.

Black Ops 6 & Warzone Season 5 Release Date
Season 5 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone will release on August 7, 2025, at the usual time of 9 AM PT (5 PM BST, 12 PM ET).
Depending on how long the seasons last, we will get the mid-season Reloaded patch halfway point and then the final update of Season 6.
Black Ops 6 Season 5 Multiplayer Content
Season 5 for Black Ops 6 includes four multiplayer maps and six new and returning modes. Some of them will be available from the get-go, while others will be live after the mid-season update.
Below is the breakdown for each of these, as well as all other additions.
Maps
Of the four maps, two are brand-new, while the remaining ones are reprised versions of old classics. Here is a quick look at them:
Runaway
- Available: Season 5 Launch

Modes
Season 5 of Black Ops 6 will add 5 returning mode and one brand-new:
- Aim High: Headshots mean instant eliminations while full body armor minimizes damage dealt anywhere below the neck.
- Snipers Only: Obvious in its name, you use only Snipers. All other equipments, including meele are disable.
- Cranked Moshpit: Eliminations give you speed perks and activate a bomb countdown on your Operator. Kill again to reset the timer or go boom!
- Cranked Demolition: Basically Cranked in Demolition.
- Ransack: Score points by looting gold bars from piles around the map and off fallen enemies. Fill your inventory and then deposit the gold in your team’s deposit box before the enemy can take you out and nab your riches.
- Blueprint Gunfight: Play with variety of new Weapon Blueprints in the Gunfight mode.
Cranked Demolition, Ransack, and Blueprint Gunfight will release with the mid-season update. Aim High will release at launch, and the other two sometime during the season, but likely before Reloaded.

Season 5 of Black Ops 6 is pretty heavy on zombies content, as it'll wrap up the narrative side of things. Here is the full details on all major content coming to the mode with the update:
- Reckoning (Map): New Round-Based Zombies Map where you'll "confront cosmic chaos" as the part of Black Ops 6 Zombies narrative finale.
- New enemies: Uber Klaus (Elite), Red Mist Descends, Robots Dispatched

Warzone Season 5 Content
Season 5 for Warzone isn't particularly high on any new major content. The biggest headline is the Stadium opening up, again.
- Stadium changes: Drop into Verdansk and take on a multi-step contract to discover the high-tech secrets hiding within Verdansk Stadium.
- New Limited Time Modes: Buy back your fallen squadmates and fight to the finish in Stadium Resurgence and claw your way up from the lowest-scoring squad to avoid being eliminated in Deadline.
