Capcom has a ton planned for Tokyo Game Show, particularly if you’re a Street Fighter 6 fan, as the developers have confirmed they will be showcasing the first C. Viper gameplay with the help of a special guest: Betty, the Juri main that’s been terrorizing Japanese Street Fighter veterans for the past year.

Via social media, Capcom revealed that games such as Pragmata, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Mega Man Starforce Legacy Collection, and, of course, Street Fighter 6 would be making an appearance. Sadly, no Resident Evil Requiem, but I digress.

C. Viper is set to have a new gameplay trailer during the actual showcase on September 24 at 7 AM PDT/10 AM ET; however, on the 28th, pro player Betty will join the Capcom Special Stage Live stream to showcase the long-awaited Street Fighter IV representative

Betty, as I’ve mentioned, is a Street Fighter 6 pro who’s become quite popular in Japan due to her Oji Hunt series. In it, Betty challenges veteran Street Fighter players to see if they can still hang with the new blood. She had a perfect record up until last Evo, where she faced the legendary Justin Wong in a nailbiter of a set that ended with the Evo champion taking it.

When Is C. Viper Coming To Street Fighter 6?

At this point, there’s no official release date for Viper in SF6.

It’s expected that Capcom will give fans a proper timeframe during TGS, which is hopefully around October. Considering the latest DLC, Sagat, was released back in early August, fans are hopeful the first weeks of October are when we’ll see C. Viper join the stacked SF6 roster.

It’ll be interesting to see if Viper will retain some of her execution from previous games. She was notoriously hard in both SFIV and Marvel vs Capcom 3. With how accesible SF6 is trying to be, some would feel extremely disappointed if Viper ends up being a watered down version of her previous versions.
