Bully online

If you wanted a neat spin on the ever-popular Grand Theft Auto role-playing servers, you're in luck. Content creator SWEGTA has just announced a brand-new community-created online mode for Bully, one of Rockstar's most beloved, albeit incredibly less popular than some of its contemporaries, franchises.

SWEGTA is primarily a YouTuber with a channel focused on all things related to Rockstar Games, with a special place in his heart for the Bully series, which is why they've worked alongside a small development team to implement an online component to the 2006 cult classic.

The way the team managed to make it work is by modding a special version of Bully that runs on the Derpy Script Loader (DSL for short), which is a tool that allows for rich customization of the game.

So what will you be able to do in Bully online? As mentioned in the detailed YouTube video breakdown, the mod is designed to allow several styles of play, as it will include the ability to free roam the map, participate in unique minigames, and even go all-in on the role-play aspect of the experience.

There is an inventory system that will allow players to manage their items. They can gain money by playing in different minigames. There are several things to purchase, including cars, weapons, and houses.

Some of the minigames on display include a first-person shooter one that utilizes rats as in-game models to avoid any potential conflicts, considering the general theme of the game, as well as a racing one. So it's safe to say that even as a work-in-progress, it looks like Bully Online could be jam-packed with content.
