Black Ops 7 just came out, but Treyarch is already starting to hype up the release of the second Zombies map, Astra Malorum. The second Zombies map will see the crew heading into a different part of the Dark Aether, following the events of Ashes of the Damned.
While we wait for more details and gameplay about the map, we have a few predictions for the map's release date.
When Does Astra Malorum Come Out in Black Ops 7?
Astra Malorum is scheduled to come out with Season 1 of Black Ops 7. Although the season begins on Thursday, December 4th, the map is not expected to be available from the start since the roadmap lists it as coming "in-season".
Regardless of the date, the map will go live at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM GMT), which is the usual release time for the game's updates. Once we have a specific release date, we will update this article to inform you about it.
Intro Cinematic
For anyone who hasn't seen it or if you want to give it another look, here is the intro cinematic for Astra Malorum:
After the events of the Ashes of the Damned easter egg, the crew finds themselves escaping from a horde of Ravagers, some of them raiding what looks like 115 meteorites, and they end up crashing into a skull-shaped asteroid. Curiously enough, the skull looks like the one the Warden had in his cages.
The crash site is the location of the new map, which has an observatory just like it was teased before the game launched. We can also see other buildings like a town hall and a closed dome, but it's difficult to imagine the size or other zones since the only shot we get is from the spawn area.
