Just like any other modern Zombies map, the Pack-A-Punch machine is available in Ashes of the Damned to let players upgrade their weapons for better performance at higher rounds. However, the machine has been stripped down and is not as chunky as before.
If you are doing your first runs on Black Ops 7's launch Zombies map and are a bit confused on how to get access to the Pack-A-Punch machine, here is a simple guide to help you.
How to Unlock the Pack-A-Punch Machine in Ashes of the Damned
Once you start a new game, go through the usual steps that the game indicates. Gather 1250 points and open the server room in the spawn area, which is the building right next to where Ol' Tessie (the pickup truck used to traverse through the map) is parked.
Enter and melee the cover on the floor to reveal TEDD's head. Grab it and install it on Ol' Tessie simply by holding down the interact button right next to the vehicle. Once that's done, you can start driving Ol' Tessie.
Then you will be prompted to pick a side, as there are two wooden doors Ol' Tessie can go through from the spawn area. Pick a side and follow the path of one of the sides until you reach the next POI.
Vandorn Farm is on one side, and Blackwater Lake is on the other. Each side will have a generator that you can turn on after killing all the infestation (the giant yellow warts) on it. This is on a timer, so do it quickly and dont forget that a last wart infestation will appear at the top of the generator after killing all the ones that were on the surface before.
Once you complete this step, head to the power switch in the POI. For Vandorn Farm, the switch is on top of the barn. For Blackwater Lake, the switch will be on the second floor of the cabin.
After turning on the generator, get back on Ol' Tessie, drive through the next wooden door, and follow the path until you reach Ashwood, the central POI. From there, climb up using any of the ziplines and make your way to the bridge, where the main generator is. You will have to buy two doors, so kill some zombies and gather some points.
Once youre in the bridge, follow the same process to clear the infestation and then hit the switch to turn it on.
This will unlock the garage at the bottom, and you will have to park Ol' Tessie inside. In the garage, you will see that a part of the Pack-A-Punch is on the table.
Interact with this part to equip it to the back of the truck, and voila, the Pack-A-Punch will be ready and operational.
That's right, you can now Pack-A-Punch your weapons from the back of Ol' Tessie, so you won't have to go far to upgrade your weapons, as long as you bring the truck with you.
