Regardless of the platform, Call of Duty can be enjoyed equally with a controller, as the games support aim assist and many other features dedicated to this input type on any version. Black Ops 7 is out, and the developers have implemented a small nerf to aim assist, altering the impact it has on the gameplay.
For those who prefer to use a controller over mouse and keyboard, we have prepared a guide explaining how to set it up effectively.
Best Controller Settings in Black Ops 7
Once you're in the game and open the Controller tab in the settings menu, this is how we recommend you set up your controller:
Controller

- Inputs
- Horizontal Stick Sensitivity: Between the 1.40 and 1.70 range. Find the sensitivity you're more comfortable with.
- Vertical Stick Sensitivity: Between the 1.40 and 1.70 range. Find the sensitivity you're more comfortable with.

- Controller
- Controller Vibration: Off (We don't recommend having vibration on, as that will disturb you during gunfights).
- Deadzone Inputs
- Left Stick Min: 5
- Left Stick Max: 99
- Right Stick Min: 5
- Right Stick Max: 99
- Left Trigger: 5
- Right Trigger: 5
Reducing the minimum deadzone for both sticks and triggers will allow you to have faster reaction times, as the buttons are more sensitive to any pressure or movement and will detect any input almost immediately.
Aiming

We don't recommend moving anything in this section, and just make sure Target and ADS aim assist are on since this is a crucial setting.
Movement

One setting you can move in this section is the Automatic Airborne Mantle. If it's on, your operator will mantle any ledge nearby while airborne without you having to press a button. This is a situational setting, because there will be instances where you dont want to mantle.
As you can tell, we are only listing the options that have been changed from the default settings. Make sure to not change anything else, because you wouldn't want to start a match without target or ADS aim assist, for instance.
