Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was the first instalment of the franchise where players had the option to play as either a male or female character.
The move was so well-received by players and fans of the games that the feature has returned for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the latest instalment of the franchise releasing towards the end of 2020.
In this article, find out everything we know about the female protagonist for the upcoming release.
What We Know So Far
Regardless of the gender that you select for your character, the character will be named Eivor; either character is considered "canon".
Players will have full control of hairstyle, tattoos, armour customisation alongside the ability to influence combat and political decisions that take place within the game.
Valhalla will also see the return of dialogue choices, allowing players to make game-changing decisions when it comes to protecting the home of your clan and what the future entails for the character.
What Does She Look Like?
Ubisoft is yet to reveal what the female protagonist looks like in-game, but we have seen a figurine that is available with the collector's edition. We will likely see her in action during the upcoming gameplay reveal.
Nonetheless, it is great to have the choice to select the gender of your character in an Assassin’s Creed game once again.
With plenty of time before the scheduled release of the game on PC, current generation and next-generation consoles, we will likely get a glimpse of what the female protagonist looks like in the coming months alongside further details surrounding storyline, gameplay, weaponry, combat mechanics and much more!
In the meantime, here is a picture of the male Viking character model.
