ARC Raiders have been trending in the last days – and for all of the good reasons. Embark Studios have put together an excellent extraction shooter, making it easy for players to immerse themselves in a fascinating world, keeping them thrilled while exploring its dangers.
As in any other extraction shooter, ARC Raiders' battlefield isn't safe. The Deadly ARC machines that wander the map are dangerous and they won't make your stay pleasant. Still, that's part of the experience, which fans have been enjoying a lot so far.
Fortunately for Embark Studios, the community's reaction isn't just words: it's way more than that. The numbers indicate ARC Raiders' launch is a great one and some players have already mentioned it's a fair contender to get a GOTY nomination.
While ARC Raiders' chances of winning the GOTY are very slim, the truth is that ARC Raiders is a big success. This weekend, some more good news hit the game's community: ARC Raiders has reached a new concurrent player peak on Steam, reaching 459,483 concurrent players on Valve's platform, according to Steam Charts.

Considering that ARC Raiders is also playable on consoles, this means that the total number of players is way bigger than that. Still, the game's Steam numbers give us an idea of how successful the title's release has been.
These numbers are even more impressive when bringing up the fact that ARC Raiders isn't a free-to-play game, like other multiplayer titles. Keeping in mind that ARC Raiders is USD$40 on Steam, the numbers above mean ARC Raiders has already made above USD$18M in copy sales on Valve's platform only.
It's hard to say how much more will the hype for ARC Raiders last. What we can say, though, is that Embark Studios' title hits most of the boxes if you like extraction adventures. You should give it a try!
