- Key Update: Embark hints at a Speranza hub for players, but menu efficiency and immersion remain key concerns.

- Players have long requested an explorable hub in Speranza for social interactions and gatherings. Devs confirm that it has been fully discussed internally.
- Watkins emphasized preserving quick menu navigation so players can prepare for raids efficiently.
ARC Raiders continues to find new success after it sold over 12 million copies since its launch. With that in mind, Embark has already prepared its 2026 roadmap, which is slated to be revealed soon.
As speculations arise from what’s to come in ARC Raiders’ future content, among player wishlists is an explorable hub area in Speranza. The good news is that Embark is already considering one, but we might not see it anytime soon.
In an interview with PCGamesN, writer Jamie Hore had a one-on-one session with ARC Raiders’ game design director, Virgil Watkins. In one of the interview portions, he asked Watkins if Embark has any plans to add a social hub for Speranza. Watkins replied that they have “100% discussed it.”
Given ARC Raiders’ success, Embark is fully aware of fan demands for their slew of upcoming content. The confirmation from Watkins proves that we could potentially get a Speranza, but they’ve also highlighted the issues that come along with it. “I love the vibe and aesthetic of a walkable hub, but I would want to preserve the menuing so that you can do it quickly and efficiently,” Watkins added.
That statement makes sense, since most of what Speranza offers is a quick menu navigation, allowing players to quickly prepare and move on to the next raid. Watkins was concerned that the immersion factor would break if players had to walk back to Shani, one of Speranza’s vendors, whenever they forgot to buy an item. This is also the same for the rest of Speranza’s vendors, where players had to backtrack and find their way in a lobby filled with other players. Right now, Watkins stated, “It's more about when the right moment to open that door is.”

While a social hub for players makes the most sense for a game like ARC Raiders, Embark is smart enough to acknowledge that potential issues can arise when implementing it immediately. It still needs careful thought and planning, which Embark is already in the process of. In the meantime, Watkins and the team are committed to bringing more dynamic encounters to the game, such as expanding on the game’s Arc variety by potentially introducing harder PvE content.
ARC Raiders is still going strong after its release 3 months ago, racking up an estimated average of 200,000 players every day on Steam alone.
With Bungie’s Marathon coming soon, ARC Raiders may have to share its market with the other extraction shooters that could potentially be one of this year’s best. Adding consistent content updates and fixing critical issues like the Stella Montis glitch is their priority, deferring additions like a Speranza social hub to future updates
