Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct is coming this November 13, but a leak showcasing a possible Warcraft 2 Remastered title has started circulating online days before the event.
The Blizztrack website shows some progress toward a remastered version of Warcraft 2. It also mentions Warcraft 3: Reforged, which received several updates a few weeks ago.
This sparked discussions among Warcraft fans, with some speculating that the remastered version might be coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Dataminer @Stiven_SRB also shared some images of the Warcraft 2 remaster, showcasing the iconic Warcraft 2 logo. While many fans are ecstatic about it on X, it isn't the case elsewhere, as Reddit players are wary of what Blizzard did to Warcraft 3: Reforged.
On a Reddit post, some Warcraft fans warn others not to purchase the upcoming Warcraft 2 remaster until Blizzard fixes Warcraft 3. This could also be on the cards, considering Blizztrack updated the entry for Warcraft 3: Reforged.
Others want the same storyline as the original Warcraft 2 but fear that the remaster will "change some of its lore to fit the current World of Warcraft narrative."
