Fans won't have to wait too long to play it, as the game is reportedly scheduled to release sometime this Summer for the Nintendo Switch 2. This would indicate that the release date should land somewhere between May and August.
The rumor came out just a day after Nintendo and Universal Pictures confirmed that Fox McCloud will appear in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, with Glenn Powell cast as the character's voice actor.
This would indicate that Nintendo is not only trying to set up what looks to be a cinematic universe with its popular characters, but also a bigger push to the Star Fox franchise who hasn't received a mainline entry since the release of Star Fox Zero in 2016 for the Wii U.
