BLAST Copenhagen will see the Danish tournament series head home for a $250,000 clash.

This edition of BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen features a mix of top teams (Astralis and Liquid), good teams with potential (NA'VI and NiP), and teams with name value (Cloud9 and FaZe Clan) that should make for an exciting two-days of Counter-Strike, as they battle for $250,000.

While BLAST LA showed us a brand new format flush with best of three semifinals, RFRSH has decided they would rather stick to their original formula that kicked off the BLAST Pro Series.

Format

BLAST Copenhagen will operate much like the original BLAST Copenhagen where there will be three simultaneous matches at once:

  • There will be five rounds of best of ones so that each team plays each other once. Each win in regulation grants points towards making it to the top of the leaderboard.
  • You still cannot go to overtime and matches can end in ties which make for interesting situations at the end of day two.
  • The 3rd-4th matchup will feature the third-place team on the leaderboard who gets to pick a team to play in a series of 1v1 duels on BLAST's new aim map.
  • The winner gets third place and the loser gets fourth.

Tickets

RFRSH was able to sell 12,000 tickets for their headliner event, and are offering a wait list for those who were too late to snag tickets for one of the biggest events in Denmark. Considering how close the event is it is doubtful that you will be able to get a ticket unless via the third party market.

Prize Pool

  • 1st $125,000 (10 BP)
  • 2nd $50,000 (8 BP)
  • 3rd $25,000 (6 BP)
  • 4th $15,000 (4 BP)
  • 5th $10,000 (2 BP)
  • 6th $5,000 (0 BP)

BLAST Pro Series: Global Final

Ironically, the last event in the "Pro Tour" will only see two teams looking to fight for a chance to go to Bahrain because Astralis, Team Liquid, and FaZe Clan have already qualified. Due to the nature of the tour, Natus Vincere, Cloud9 and Ninjas in Pyjamas are the only teams with a viable chance to get the fourth ticket punched to Bahrain. Realistically, NiP have the fourth spot wrapped up, but if the Swedes place dead last than there is a chance for either Na'Vi or C9 if either are able to win Copenhagen. If not we will see the Ninjas take their spot in Bahrain which might be the more exciting result compared to the actual winner.
