The FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 final crowned a new champion this past weekend, check out how it all went down.

The FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 final commenced once again in London for the finale of FIFA 19's esports season. Mohammed 'MoAuba' Harkous claimed the 2019 Fifa eWorld Cup title after beating Mosaad 'Msdossary' Aldossarym, the reigning champion, 3-2 in the final. The German bested 31 other players over the weekend, in a season that saw millions compete at some stage, to win $250,000.

Having already played host to the FIFA eWorld Cup last year, the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 will return to The O2 in London as its venue. Since 2004, the FIFA eWorld Cup has been hosted in 8 countries and 12 cities - its debut begain in Zurich, Switzerland. Over 29 million people watched last year's final with over 20 million competing at some stage in the build up to the final.

MoAuba's Path To Glory

A series of top 4 finishes this season for MoAuba, meant he was looking unlikely to maintain his record of winning a tournament every year since FIFA 16. Heading into the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019 final, he was not one of the favourites but managed to beat the four highest-ranked PS4 players on his way to the final before taking down Msdosarry - the Saudi Arabian was undefeated up until this point. This makes MoAuba the first ever German FIFA eWorld Cup Champion.

It wasn't so simple for MoAuba however, his tournament was on the line as he overcame Argentina's Nicolas 'nicolas99fc' Villalba in a penalty shootout in the PS4 final. Meanwhile, Msdosarry managed to take down Vitality's Rafsou 4-3 in the Xbox final.

The grand final kicked off on the Xbox One, the home platform of Msdossary, ending in a 1-1 draw. MoAuba then won 2-1 on PS4 to clinch the title.
