Are you a massive 007? Now, you can spend $300 on an iconic golden gun replica that comes with the upcoming 007 First Light game, set to be released on March 26, 2026.
During the recent 007 First Light State of Play on September 3, fans got an extended look at gameplay in the return of MI6 agent James Bond to the realm of video games. Perhaps a bit too extended in my opinion, with some unnecessary driving and “stealth” sequences shown in full, but I digress.
It was, overall, a good presentation, one that made me excited to check out what IO Interactive is doing with such a beloved IP like 007. Towards the end, as mentioned, the release date was dropped, coming out this next March, as well as the different editions players would be able to get, including the Legacy physical edition, which will retail for a whopping $300.
While it’s not reaching the deluded prices of some collector’s editions like Dying Light’s $300k special edition (granted, the PR team confirmed it was mostly a PR stunt and no one bought it), it’s still a pretty penny. However, if you’re a super fan, then this might be the perfect purchase.
What Does The 007 First Light Legacy Edition Include?
The 007 First Light Legacy edition includes digital goodies as well as a golden gun replica and more physical collectables. This is what you can expect:
- 4 exclusive outfits (digital)
- 1 new weapon skin (digital)
- Gleaming pack (digital)
- Golden Gun figurine
- Obsidian Gold Suit & Golden Gun Weapon Skin
- Steel Case
As you can see, it’s a pretty neat replica of an iconic piece of gaming history. You’ll even get a certificate of authenticity for your weapon. Which, of course, is not a real gun, just in case you needed clarification.
The golden gun is a beloved piece of Bond lore, first appearing in The Man With The Golden Gun novel by Ian Fleming in 1965. For gamers, however, its most popular iteration was the extremely OP Goldeneye weapon that terrorized those who were on the wrong side of the barrel during the N64 days.
