  • Quick Answer: The ultimate loadout pairs the essential Q-Watch with the Smoke Pod and Laser Strap, adding the toxic Dart Phone once a fourth slot unlocks.

There's an array of gadgets at James Bond's disposal in 007 First Light, but some are definitely better than others.

While there are plenty of Q-Branch gadgets that are unlocked as the game progresses, you have a limited number of slots. So, what should you equip? What's the most handy and versatile item that will ensure your missions end successfully?

Let's discuss the best loadout in 007 First Light.

Best Gadgets to Use in 007 First Light

There are a total of seven gadgets in 007 First Light, but you start with only three slots, so you can't use all of them. You unlock a fourth gadget slot in the Knightfall mission - the same mission that grants you the Missile Pen.

The best gadget and one you absolutely need in your loadout is the Q-Watch. It seems like the obvious choice, but it's needed in practically every mission. It's extremely helpful in navigating you through the environment and is perfect for hacking into electronics for distractions. You won't be able to progress without the Q-Watch.

Another gadget that needs to be in your loadout is the Smoke Pod. It's great if you prefer being stealthy and want to sneak past enemies without aggravating them. In stealth and combat, the Smoke Pod can be used to blind enemies, allowing Bond to take them down or simply sneak past.

The Laser Strap is also another great addition and should take up one of your slots. Throughout the game, Bond will come across locked doors, and using the Laser Strap will allow him to gain access. It can also be used to pickpocket from unsuspecting NPCs or stun enemies in combat.

If you have the fourth slot unlocked, I highly recommend you place the Dart Phone in your loadout. The dart from this gadget is laced with toxins, and when used on someone, they immediately become sick and leave the area. It can be used in public without drawing attention, allowing you to distract guards and slip into an area unnoticed. It's perfect for the player who prioritizes stealth over violence.
