How To Get Hide In ARK Survival Evolved?

No doubt many new ARK players are sporting the Fiber clothing set right now.

We can't say it's particularly attractive nor useful in terms of defence.

The next step is hide Armour, so how do you get it and what else can you make?

How To Get Hide

Hide is a resource in ARK Survival Evolved.

The most efficient way to harvest it is with a Chainsaw, otherwise, you'll want to use a Metal Hatchet.

If you haven't got metal yet then give your stone Hatchet or Pickaxe a swing!

Players can get Hide from deceased creatures' bodies.

It will become an essential resource from start to finish and is widely available throughout ARK.

Some creatures will not provide you with Hide though the large majority do.

• Waterskin
• Water Jar
• Saddles
• Platform Saddles
• Slingshot
• Smithy
• Metal Pick
• Metal Hatchet
• Pike
• Longneck Rifle
• Cloth Gloves
• Hide Armor
• Fur Armor
• Chitin Armor
• Flak Armor
• SCUBA Gear
• Heavy Miner's Helmet
• Wooden Spike Wall
• Metal Spike Wall
• Flag
• Wooden Raft
• C4 Charge
• Grenade
• Improvised Explosive Device

It can be used to craft more items than the above but these are objectively the most useful.
