With Season 13 nearing the halfway point, the latest Apex Legends event is right around the corner. The Apex Legends Gaiden Event features a range of anime-themed cosmetic items and challenges to complete.
The Gaiden event also contains a Prestige skin for Bangalore and an all-new limited-time mode (LTM) known as Armed and Dangerous. With so much on offer, there's plenty to unpack from the event.

Apex Legends Gaiden Event Start Date
Respawn Entertainment says the Gaiden event will begin on July 19, 2022, and will come to an end on August 2, 2022.
Like previous seasonal events, the event will launch at 6PM BST (1PM ET).
Apex Legends Gaiden Event Skins
The event will see 40 skins inspired by a variety of anime shows arrive in the battle royale. A range of Legends will receive skins including themes from Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Tokyo Ghoul.
In addition to the anime skins, the Gaiden event includes Legendary skins for Revenant, Octane, Wattson, and Mirage with the likes of the Wingman, EVA-8, and the Charge Rifle receiving themed skins.

- Crypto: Dragon Ball Z
- Bangalore: Sailor Moon
- Seer: Heart Stopper
- Revenant: Evangelion
- Bloodhound: Tokyo Ghoul

- Octane: One Piece
Along with the anime skins, the Gaiden event allows players to get their hands on another Prestige skin. This time around, a skin for Bangalore will become available.
Apex Legends Bangalore Prestige Skin
If you manage to collect all 40 event items, you'll unlock the Apex Commander Prestige Skin for Bangalore.
The method of unlocking is similar to unlocking an Heirloom as part of a Collection event.
The Prestige Skin has a Mythic rarity and includes three tiers of design. Players must complete a range of challenges to unlock all three tiers.
Apex Legends Gaiden Flash Events
During the Gaiden event, players can earn plenty of free rewards by completing challenges to earn Event Points. Over a two-week time slot, players can keep track of their rewards thanks to the event tracker.

Apex Legends Armed and Dangerous LTM
The Armed and Dangerous mode is returning during the Gaiden event. In addition, a notable leaker claims the Kraber and Mastiff will appear in the crafting rotation in the first week while the Longbow and Peacekeeper will feature in the second week.
This particular LTM only features shotguns and sniper rifles, encouraging plenty of close-quarters and long-distance duels.
