Apex Legends Global Series Championship Pool Jumps to $2.58M

The first-ever Apex Legends Global Series Championship is currently underway, and Electronic Arts have just announced that the prize pool for the competition has landed at a total of $2,580,590 USD.

The original prize pool offered by EA was $1,000,000 USD.

ALGS Championship Bundles

The reason the prize pool for the ALGS Championship was able to reach such heights was all due in part to Apex Legends fans.

During the time between May 18, 2021, and June 1, 2021, Apex Legends sold ALGS Championship Bundles in the in-game store.

There were five different bundles, including:

  • Mechameleon Bundle (Pathfinder)
  • Boared to Death Bundle (Fuse)
  • Wild Speed Bundle (Octane)
  • Silverback Bundle (Caustic)
  • Animal Kingdom Bundle (All four of the above)

Each bundle featured a Legendary Animal Kingdom skin, an Epic Banner Frame, and an Epic Gun Charm.

Every single bundle purchased added $5 to the ALGS Championship prize pool, while fans who purchased the Animal Kingdom Bundle added $20 to the prize pool.

There was a cap of $2,000,000 USD, which Apex Legends almost reached.
