Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the long-awaited new game in the series. It is also the first one on the Nintendo Switch! How to Unlock Nooks Cranny
During your second day on your island, Timmy and Tommy will be in Tom Nook's tent and will mention how they wish to open their own store. They'll need your help, though. You'll be asked to bring them the following resources to make it happen:
- 30 Wood
- 30 Softwood
- 30 Hardwood
- 30 Iron Nuggets
After delivering the resources to the small raccoon pair, Nooks Cranny will then get constructed on your island the day after!
How to Unlock Able Sisters
When you've finally built Nooks Cranny and excitedly venture into the new store, you'll notice a familiar blue hedgehog - Mable. When speaking with her, she will mention that she wishes to have her own clothing store on the island. After this encounter, she'll visit your island occasionally to sell clothes from the Town Hall's Plaza, and if you visit her enough and purchase plenty of clothes from her, she'll finally ask to build a permanent store.
The days in which Mable will show up are random, so you'll need to have a little patience before Able Sisters can be built on your island. Luckily, to compensate for your wait, she will not need any resources from you before you construct her shop. After choosing where to place the shop, it will be open the following day for you to shop to your heart's content.
How to Unlock The Roost
The Roost is a café ran by the beloved pigeon Brewster. Players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have waited a very long time for him to make an appearance, and he finally arrived as a part of the Version 2.0 update.
It is currently unclear as to how he is unlocked, but we assume there will be an announcement of sorts about his arrival. After a day or two and maybe a small chat with Blathers at the museum, Brewster's café will likely open for business in the museum. We'll update this when we know more specifics!
