So when will the title be launched on iOS and Android?

When Will eFootball 2022 Be Released?

If you're hoping for a release over the next couple of weeks, then you're out of luck. The mobile version of the title will not hit the market until the first major update lands in the free-to-play title. While Update 0.9.1's just launched, that mostly focuses on bug fixes.

Instead, Konami has confirmed that this will launch with Update 1.0.0, which has currently been pushed back into Spring 2022. As part of that statement, Konami revealed:

We have been working diligently towards distributing an update that will bring new content to the game, including a new mode where you can strengthen and play with an original team, as well as support for mobile devices on November 11, 2021. Unfortunately, we have concluded that more time is needed to deliver the product in the quality that will meet the expectations of our users and have decided to postpone the delivery.

Will eFootball Mobile Be Free To Play?

Konami have made the bold decision to step into the FTP world, converting what was once known as Pro Evolution Soccer into the newly released, eFootball.

The game is free-to-play on any of the major consoles on which is has been released, and that will also be the case for those wanting to get their hands on the mobile edition of the title.

So in short, yes. Yes it will.

Can I Download Option Files On eFootball 2022 Mobile?

Those who have played the Pro Evolution Soccer titles over the past few years will be all too familiar with option files.

They are an optional download that allow you to add unofficial licensed items into your game, including badges, kits and even teams themselves.

But if you were hoping to add some of those unlicensed clubs into your mobile game then you are out of luck, as currently, option files are only supported on PS4, PS5 and PC.

This may change in the future, but for now, you'll have to stick with the teams that Konami have put on the table.
