Evil Genius 2 Vulkan: How to enable Vulkan API


Evil Genius 2 can be a pretty hardware intensive game at times, as the size of your lair increases while you play. It all runs pretty smoothly though, in part because you can enable Vulkan API. This resulted in a much smoother framerate for us, so it’s well worth taking a look at.

Evil Genius 2: Is it Vulkan Compatible?


Evil Genius 2 has Vulkan functionality at launch. This means you will be able to enable it from the get-go. It essentially helps distribute processes more efficiently using the GPU. In most games you’ll see a noticeable difference, usually in framerate stability.



How to Use Vulkan When Starting Evil Genius 2


When you start up Evil Genius 2 you will be given two options: DirectX 12 or Vulkan. Select Vulkan to run the game with Vulkan enabled. You can change this each time you boot up, so if things aren’t to your liking just try the other option.
