Battlefield 6 is here, and Multiplayer has been an absolute blast so far. Having put several hours in using the Assault class over the weekend, I’ve been able to try out some of the weapons on offer and get a sense of what works best for those in the early stages of levelling up.
In this guide, I’ll recommend a couple of options that perform so well the enemy won’t even know what hit them! So, let’s dive in and check out two weapon builds that can strike fear into those staring down the barrel.
Best Battlefield 6 Assault Loadouts and Builds
I’m currently rank level 29 in BF6, but because certain guns and gadgets are locked behind challenges, you’d be surprised at how many items I’m yet to get my hands on. More often than not, I was pretty much running with the same loadout between levels 1-20, although I’ve now reached a stage where alternatives are becoming available to my arsenal.

Here’s the Assault loadout I’ve had the most joy with so far, followed by its primary weapon builds:
- Field Spec - Breacher
- Primary - M433/SOR-556 MK2
- Secondary - M44
- Gadget 1 - M87A1 Shotgun
- Gadget 2 - M320A1
- Throwable - Frag Grenade
- Melee - Combat Knife
When it comes to primary weapons, the good news is that one of, if not the best, Assault rifles in the game is already unlocked. Let’s take a look at my favorite M433 build first!
M433 Build
The M433 Assault Rifle is already unlocked by default in Battlefield 6 multiplayer, and it’s just as well, because this thing shreds at close to mid-range with an above-average Rate of Fire. With the right attachments, you’ll level up in no time and give nearby enemies absolutely no chance.
- Double-Port Brake Muzzle
- Extended 18.9” Prototype Barrel
- Slim Angled Underbarrel Grip
- 30Rnd Fast Magazine
- FMJ Ammo
- Magwell Flare Ergonomic
- RO-M 1.75x Scope
- 5 MW Green Laser

SOR-556 MK2 Build
Once you’ve leveled up and reached Rank 25, the SOR-556 MK2 is another Assault Rifle worth your time and attention. With the help of the following attachments, it provides superior Precision, Control, and Headshot Damage at the expense of Mobility, Rate of Fire, and Reload Time, perfect for those mid to long-distance gunfights. It fires a lot like Battlefield 2042's RM68, which became one of the most popular guns towards the end of the game's cycle.
- Single-Port Muzzle Break
- Extended 18” US-LB Barrel
- Canted Stubby Underbarrel Grip
- 30Rnd Magazine
- Hollow Point Ammo
- Mini Flex 1.00X Scope (or PVQ-31 4.00X for increased zoom)
- 5 MW Green Laser

Out of the four Assault Rifles I’ve unlocked so far, the M433 and SOR-556 MK2 are my current favorites. The M4A1 and M277 Carbines are honorable mentions, but they do not count as signature weapons for the Assault class, meaning faster draw speeds and firing sooner after exiting sprint don't apply. While these passive effects are not make-or-break, they can make a noticeable difference when using Assault Rifles, so it's something to bear in mind if you opt for a weapon from a different category.
So, there you have it, two of my go-to Assault Rifles alongside my trusty class loadout in Battlefield 6. I'll be sure to revisit this article once I've played more of the game, leveled up, and gained a wider variety of choices.
