Marvel Rivals’ Season 5 is just around the corner, bringing one of the most iconic X-Men characters of all time: Gambit.
But that’s not all. While others are celebrating the addition of a new Strategist, NetEase casually drops an announcement for an ambitious game mode during its latest Developer Vision video: An 18v18 Conquest (Annihilation)
What is Marvel Rivals’ New Game Mode for Season 5?

This mysterious new mode will pit two teams of 18 players against each other in a Conquest setup, which normally supports 6v6. Currently, there are no additional details about what this mode entails, but what we know so far is that it will take place in a new map called the New Grand Garden.

Despite the sharp decrease in player count, Marvel Rivals still has plenty of loyal players in the community. This upcoming game mode will definitely attract players who love a casual hero-shooter experience without having to worry about escorting payloads or capturing points. Personally, I’ve always wanted to see more PvE modes after enjoying my time in Marvel Zombies. It was great while it lasted, but it started to feel repetitive after a few runs.
The ambitious 18 versus 18 players mode will arrive in Marvel Rivals’ Season 5, but will be accessible on November 27.
