The Battlefield 6 open beta has been a mostly satisfying experience, with fans enjoying its visuals and the great feeling of gunplay. It’s not perfect, but open betas rarely are, so fans are pretty happy with what they’ve played and can’t wait for the game’s official release.
Since this is an open beta, fans are hoping the devs will take some of their complaints seriously and implement them in the full release. One minor issue that a lot of players hate is the game’s menu, which is an annoying leftover from gaming’s annoying live-service era.
A user going by Copter53 vented about the seemingly awful menu interface of Battlefield 6, comparing it to Netflix’s UI. This post has also led to thousands of comments coming from gamers who also hate how the menu looks and feels. No one likes it when menus make players move a cursor to get where they want, especially when other buttons can lead to different menus altogether.

Battlefield 2042 was the game that released before BF6, and it was thrashed for being a poor live-service shooter. While it eventually gained a fanbase, it tried too hard to lean into the battle royale fad that only Fortnite and PUBG have been able to work out. Seeing this complicated UI brings back bad memories of this era of gaming, and it's easy to see why fans have so much vitriol for it.
We don’t know if a menu overhaul is coming to Battlefield 6 when the game launches on October 10, but fans would greatly appreciate that. Granted, BF6 is technically going to have live-service elements, being a shooter and all, but something simpler for the final release would be better. A nice menu might not be huge on EA’s list of priorities for this game, but something easier on the eyes would be appreciated.
