Battlefield 6 has been out for just over a month now, and what an absolute blast it continues to be. I’ve played it almost every day since launch (yes, I have too much time on my hands), but the satisfying, grounded, and incredibly fun gameplay is simply too good to resist.
Whether it’s weekly challenges, new seasonal content, or a Battle Pass to progress, there’s always a reason to keep playing. If those incentives weren’t enough, then a certain weapon will definitely have players coming back for more.
The gun I’m alluding to here is the KORD 6P67 Assault Rifle, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute killing machine. Boasting the highest in-class rate of fire and one of the quickest across the board, the KORD 6P67 also comes with exceptional accuracy and recoil control, making it one of the most overpowered weapons currently in BF6.
In the weeks that initially followed Battlefield 6’s launch, I rarely came across the KORD, with most players seemingly opting for other options such as the M4A1, M433, or PW5A3, to name a few. However, there appears to have been a recent shift in power, with the fast-firing Assault Rifle becoming increasingly popular since the arrival of Season 1, and honestly? I’m not surprised one bit.

If I were to describe the KORD 6P67, it shoots like an SMG but has the feel of an Assault Rifle, offering a perfect balance between accuracy and rate of fire. It’s a devastating combination, and while the damage is lower than all other Assault Rifles, the sheer speed at which bullets fly more than makes up for it. Enemy players may have something that hits harder, but that doesn’t mean anything when they come up against the KORD.
I don’t know if the devs have nerfed or tweaked its performance in recent weeks, but if they have, the KORD 6P67 has only become stronger as a result. After all, there’s a reason the majority of players are now using it. That said, it does feel incredibly overpowered and a little unfair during gunfights. Yes, it has the lowest damage output in the category, but again, you wouldn’t notice thanks to its rate of fire. Factor in its non-existent recoil, too, and you have everything to come out on top during encounters.
Satisfying to use? Absolutely. But equally, it’s very annoying to be on the receiving end of it as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if a nerf arrives for the KORD in the coming weeks, but until it does, here’s the loadout build I’m having the most joy with so far:
- Double-Port Brake
- Heavy 415MM Prototype Barrel
- Low-Profile Stubby Grip
- 30Rnd Fast Mag
- Standard FMJ Ammo
- RO-S 1.25X Sight
- 5 MW Green Laser

Just look at that control! It's insane for a weapon with such a high ROF. The stats don't lie, either. It really does fire that quickly and stabilizes so impressively. You will not be disappointed.
It is worth mentioning that the KORD 6P67 is unlocked by completing the Rapid Fire 1 assignment within the challenges tab, so if you want to see what all of the hype is about, then you'll need to earn the weapon first.
