Warzone BO7 everything we know

Warzone BO7 everything we know

Season 1 is coming to Warzone to kickstart the new Black Ops 7 cycle, following the franchise's format. Although some of the content was already revealed earlier this year at COD Next, more in-depth details have been revealed now that the season's roadmap has been published.

We have prepared a summary with all the important information you should know about the first post-launch season under the new game.

When Does Warzone Season 1 Come Out?

Season 1 of Black Ops 7 and Warzone is scheduled to come out on Thursday, December 4th, for all platforms. All the new content will be added through a patch that will go live at 9:00 AM PT (5:00 PM CET).

Call of Duty seasons usually last around eight weeks, but with the holiday period coming soon, this first post-launch season could take a bit more than usual. We can expect a big mid-season update to drop sometime in the first three weeks of January to add the content for the second half of the season.

Trailer

A Season 1 trailer was released, but it doesn't include any footage or gameplay from the upcoming Warzone additions. Nonetheless, here is the trailer for those who haven't seen it or if you want to give it another look:

Roadmap

The Season 1 roadmap lists every single major addition coming to all games once the season begins, and you can see it below:

Haven's Hollow and New Verdansk POIs

In terms of maps, two major additions are coming to the game: a completely new Resurgence map called Haven's Hollow and two new POIs in this current iteration of Verdansk.

As we mentioned, the new map was already showcased during COD Next 2025 with a few matches and is made out of different locations, which include Zombies maps from Black Ops 6, such as Shattered Veil.

These are some of the primary POIs that will be present in the map at launch:

  • Mansion
  • Pond
  • Train Station
  • Barn
  • Research Center
  • Main Street
  • River Boat
  • Coal Depot
  • Lumbermill

On the other hand, Verdansk will receive two POIs, one is a remastered version of a POI that was also added in the original Verdansk, and the second one is brand-new. Factory from Verdansk 84 comes back, and it replicates the area added during the Black Ops Cold War post-launch cycle.

The brand-new POI, Signal Station, is a Guild complex located on the north side of Verdansk and can be easily identified by the three white spheres looking over the frozen lake.

New Features

Season 1 integrates the Black Ops 7 content into the free-to-play title and brings several new features in the process. If you want to know more about the additions and changes before the patch notes drop, here is a preview:

  • Movement: Tac Sprint is now part of the Sprinter Perk. Base movement speed has been increased to compensate. Players equipped with the Mountaineer Perk can also perform the new Combat Roll for added mobility. Test out Wall Jump and the Grapple Hook Tactical in Limited-Time Modes.
  • Loadout: Overkill is now a default advantage when you access your Loadout. There are no Wildcards. Your weapons now have a maximum of five attachments.
  • Equipment: Expect an updated selection of Tacticals, Lethals, and in-match Field Upgrades, including the Needle Drone Lethal, Pinpoint Grenade Tactical, Phantom Signal Tactical, and Echo Unit Field Upgrade, some of which are ground loot only.
  • Equipment Interactions: New equipment interactions have been introduced, including:
  • Smoke Grenades now douse Molotov fire.
  • Stim Shots now remove the effects of Flash and Concussion Grenades.
  • Perks: The three Perk Slots have been restructured and updated, as detailed below, along with the addition of a new Adaptive Perk.

The season also introduces new equipment, which we have listed below, along with a snippet of their official description:

  • Pinpoint Grenade (Ground Loot Only): When active, it deploys tracking darts at enemies entering its radius, marking their positions for you and your squad. Each pulse can tag multiple targets over time, and enemies can remove the dart if they act quickly.
  • Psych Grenade: A disorienting red gas that can spawn phantom facsimiles of nearby enemies, creating visual, audio, and minimap distortion within its radius.
  • Phantom Signal (Ground Loot Only): It forces up to three nearby foes to emit distorted audio cues while briefly revealing their locations on the compass.
  • Needle Drone (Ground Loot Only): A compact, throwable mini-drone that detonates on impact.
  • Echo Unit: Deploy the Echo Unit to create a lifelike decoy that mirrors your Operator’s appearance and stance.

Another aspect of the game that will be rearranged is perks, and here is how they're stacking up per each category:

  • Perk 1
  • Scavenger: Improves Ammo and Resource acquisition.
  • Veteran: Improves equipment resistance and Long-Range weapon handling.
  • Mountaineer: Gain damage negation when falling.
  • Cold-Blooded: Gain immunity to tracking equipment, targeting systems, and electronic interference.
  • Grenadier: Improves explosive equipment and equipment handling.
  • Perk 2
  • Quick Fix: Improves armor handling and health regen.
  • Alertness: Improves awareness.
  • Reactive Armor: Improves armory recovery and defense.
  • Bomb Squad: Gain explosive resistance and equipment negation.
  • Sprinter: Improves Sprinting and movement.
  • Perk 3
  • Tempered: Improves armor.
  • Adaptive: Improves explosive defense, movement, and handling.
  • Tracker: Improves tracking and target acquisition.
  • Survivor: Improves health regeneration, revives, and provides one-hit protection against ballistic weapons.
  • Ghost: Improves stealth.
