Treyarch just used its newest Dev Talk to announce a long-requested update for Black Ops 7.
One of the game’s most-used perks is getting a big change that will affect how players move, fight, and set up their loadouts when the game launches in November.
During the October beta, players pointed out that some movement options felt unnecessarily restricted unless you equipped a specific perk.
What Actually Changed?
After hearing from players, Treyarch announced that actions once tied to the Dexterity perk will now be part of the base movement system.
Previously, players had to equip Dexterity if they wanted to aim down sights (ADS) while sliding, diving, or wall-jumping.
Players can now aim down sights while sliding, diving, or wall-jumping without needing a perk.
Players who still equip Dexterity will gain a boost (faster transitions, smoother motions), but the core functionality is unlocked for everyone.
Why Did Treyarch Make This Change?
Feedback from the beta suggested that Dexterity’s influence forced most players to structure their builds around it.

Because ADS while sliding or diving was so advantageous, many players felt forced into using that perk slot just to keep pace.
The update fixes that by making the ability part of the base gameplay and freeing up a perk slot.
