Monster Hunter Wildsnew endgame mode is a fresh way to experience Capcom’s latest AAA hit. It offers an endless grind for players chasing the best rolls by hunting 9-Star Monsters, which is currently the game’s hardest content.

Getting a god roll Talisman is mostly based on RNG. But apart from hunting the same monsters over and over, Monster Hunter Wilds has given players plenty of other options you might not even know about. Here’s how to maximize your Talisman stats:

Meld Excess Talismans with the Elder Melder

Visit the Elder Melder!

The Elder Melder is your best ally when it comes to getting the strongest Talisman rolls. You can meld the excess Talismans you don’t need (especially those with terrible stats) and hand them over to her. The exchange rate for one Glowing Stone depends on the rarity of your charm:

  • Rarity 5 Unknown Charms grant 1 point
  • Rarity 6 Historical Charms grant 3 points
  • Rarity 7 Secret Charms grant 6 points
  • Rarity 8 Golden Age Charms grant 10 points

Always check the value of your Talismans before tossing them into the pot. You may not have enough to craft a Glowing Stone otherwise. And double-check your favorites with strong rolls so you don’t accidentally lose them forever.

Use Silver Talisman Tickets

Silver Talisman Tickets are worth it.

Silver Talisman Tickets are the easiest way to instantly get 10 Glowing Stones. You can appraise them right away to receive 10 charms of random rarities. With some luck, you might even land a Rarity 8 Charm.

You can earn Silver Talisman Tickets as major rewards in Weekly Quests, so keep an eye on the available missions each week. Visit the Quest Board (or the Palico beside it) to see which quests reward Silver Talisman Tickets.

Find 9-Star Monsters on Your Map

Find 9-Star hunts in your map.

Another reliable way to get the best Talismans is by hunting 9-Star monsters. This is the intended grind for the new endgame system, and it is the toughest challenge yet. These monsters hit hard, have massive HP, and require strong teamwork. Proper gear, resistances, and preparation like Lifepowders, Insurance Meals, or Dust of Life are crucial for survival.

When you find a 9-Star monster like Tempered Seregios or Lagiacrus quest on your map, save it as an Investigation and post it on the Quest Board so other players or friends can join in. Make it a habit to check your map often to see which 9-Star monsters are available. Sometimes, you’ll even find two 9-Star monsters in a single hunt, giving you a huge haul of Glowing Stones. The risk is high, but the rewards are worth it.

Join SOS Hunts

SOS Hunts.

If no 9-Star monsters appear on your map, head to your handler or the Grand Hub Quest Board to look for SOS hunts. These are quests from players who need extra help mid-hunt. Join quickly before the slots fill up.

You can also join a populated lobby before starting your session. Go to “Lobby Quests” and check which hunters are taking on 9-Star monsters, then hop in to share the rewards.

That’s everything you need to know. RNG is still a big factor, so nothing is guaranteed. But with upcoming title updates, Monster Hunter Wilds will introduce more rewards and challenges, making the endgame even better. And with the Final Fantasy XIV crossover arriving at the end of September, there’s even more content to look forward to.
