What is the timeline in Destiny: Rising?

Unfortunately, anyone expecting continuity with Bungie’s lore will be disappointed, as Rising exists in an alternate timeline where our Guardian does not exist and the events of Destiny 2 never happened.
This is NetEase’s way of giving the series a fresh start while keeping the core elements that make its narrative engaging. The Traveler still exists, but not in the Last City. Instead, it hovers over Haven, a small settlement on Earth formed after the second Dark Age following the Collapse.

With a look that channels the Iron Lords, Wolf serves as Rising’s version of a ‘main’ character, similar to Zenless Zone Zero’s Proxy or Genshin Impact’s Outlander. Wolf is an all-rounder and the first playable character, with others unlocked later through the gacha system.
